Insect pollination in greenhouses

This book (220 p.; nr. 254; € 34,-) is a compilation of the presentations given at the Specialists’ Meeting, held in 1999 in Soesterberg. The meeting dealt with various backgrounds of controlled pollination by insects of greenhouse crops. Most attention was given to the use of bumblebees as pollinators in greenhouses, but the meeting also dealt with other pollinating insects that are being used or considered for pollination in such confinements. The meeting was specifically planned to discuss the latest developments and to exchange information on rearing methods of non-Apis bees.
